The Malawi Flames were held to a 2–2 draw by Liberia in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match played on 08 September 2025.Malawi looked the stronger side from the start, controlling most of the game with 62% possession compared to Liberia’s 38%,As the Flames created several chances, registering 12 shots with 6 on target, but were frustrated by Liberia’s goalkeeper who made 4 important saves.
